Isola Urban Hub: a loft for short stays in Milan Isola

The loft is on two levels. On the entrance floor there’s the living area with a sofa and a TV, the dining table for four, the kitchen and the bathroom. A metal staircase leads up to the mezzanine, where the double bed is.

The door has a smart lock: the code arrives before you get here and there’s no one to meet.

How we lived in it

This loft was our home for years, and we put it up for rent in December 2025, when we moved back to the province of Turin. We didn’t buy it to rent it out: we lived in it, and the things inside are the things we needed ourselves.

It’s on the ground floor, which means no elevator to wait for with your luggage and groceries that come straight in without stairs. The mezzanine separates the bed from the living area, and that’s why two people are comfortable here even spending the whole day indoors.

You can feel the rhythm of the neighborhood: in the morning people head past toward Garibaldi on their way to work, and in the evening the streets with the bars fill up. That’s why people like the place, and it’s also why, if you’re a light sleeper, it’s worth knowing in advance.

What we’re not going to tell you afterward

Three things we’d rather say now. The front door is old and a little narrow. There are a few steps at the entrance, going up and coming down. And in the evening, through the windows, the sound of the nightlife carries: for anyone sensitive to it, we leave earplugs available.
